proudly presents an in-depth visual record of the 2014-2015 season of...
The Lewistown Indians
...Lets begin this new year and new beginning with a look back at a few Lewistown Indian action photos from my files, which BTW contain many years of Game and Event coverage that are fun to turn the clock back. But for right now, lets get back to the 2014/2015 school year where we are all going to get to know each other lots better. It is a pleasure for me to be photographing the Indians this year and really look forward to all the sports and other events coming up. If you know of anything special you would like me to be sure and photograph, just drop me a message on FaceBook or at my email: email@example.com .

I love my job...it's been 50 years since my first photograph was published...it has taken me most everywhere you can imagine, but it's working with talented young people that has to be my favorite. They are always filled with surprises and challenges. There are so many amazing kids out there that deserve some rewards and recognition for their talents, efforts, and hard work.
Yes, I'm on Facebook as many of you know I post links to all the game and event photos there and here on this website and love to meet new people and make new friends...so with that said, we are going to get this new year and new project underway as soon as possible. I am not here just to go to the games and shoot pics hoping you will purchase some prints but I also provide the school with any images they might need along the way and I support the teams, school, programs, and other things as much as I possibly can. I am a big believer in paying it back, paying it forward, or simply doing everything I can to help out.
At the Miss Mason County Fair
Queen Pageant they always have
auctions during the breaks in the show. Tim Oest has a long history of
getting a really bad sweet tooth during these auctions and always scoops up
a great batch of cookies...Tuesday night it was cinnamon rolls and the
bidding was on...but as I said Tim has a history there and he was not
walking away without those rolls with his winning bid of $200. The proceeds
from these auctions go to the scholarship program and Tim is always proud to
help out the great cause.....I tried to sell him a gallon of milk to go with
them for only $150, but he already had the milk .
Doin' It 4 Derek
Please remember the real purpose of these images from the Rob Deer Baseball Camp is to make money for Derek's Memorial Scholarship Fund and proceeds from every print ordered will go directly to that fund in 30 days. I will place a link to the gallery below, please share this with everyone you know that was there, relatives, and anyone at all that would like to help "Do It 4 Derek" . You can order directly from the gallery, just click the green "BUY" button and your prints will come right to your home in a week or less. Thank you so much for helping me support this amazing cause....

Any sports event between Lewistown's Indians and Havana's Ducks is always a very good game to see, honestly, every game of this JV Shootout has been just that, a heads-up, fast paced, and great game to watch. This long-time friendly rivalry always has everyone up for that next game... Monday, June 23 was no different....both JV teams are looking great this year and both teams are packed with some great young talent...so get your tickets now for the 2015 Season....The photos from Monday's match-up are edited and posted at the link below....

GAMES CAN BE FOUND AT THE FOLLOWING LINK. I AM SORRY FOR THIS CHANGE AND
TROUBLE, BUT IT WAS NECESSARY TO MAKE THIS CHANGE NOW TO AVOID EVEN MORE
CONFUSION AT A LATER TIME....THANK YOU, TED

A Wednesday night game at the 10th Street venue found the Lewistown Lady Indians playing the Havana Lady Ducks in a good softball game....I was there to shoot game photos, and i must admit that shooting there at that time of day can be a challenge with lots of strong and direct sunlight combined with deep and dark shade...but with a little extra editing, they don't look too bad....check them out for yourself at the link below...
So Monday's are bad days for you
huh???? Imagine your first game at 9AM
after a long bus ride....12 hours later at 9PM your last game rolls around.
Not just a friendly game at the park, but an entire day of all-out playing
hard, impress the coach against some of the best teams in Central
Illinois....Tired, grumpy, and slamming down cold ones....no, not these kids
they are all ready to go just as hard as that first game 12 hours
Sadie Dodds runs the final seconds off the clock in a Monday Night JV Shootout against Elmwood...Game photos are finished and posted at the link below, I am still working on the photos of the Monday night shootout game between the Lady Indians and the Lady Ducks, will have them finished and posted very soon !!!
Basketball in Central Illinois is pretty much a good peek at what our teams are going to look like for the new season and on Monday, June 16th the Lewistown Lady Indians Team was part of a Junior Varsity Shoot-Out hosted by Havana High School. The Lady Indians were matched up with the South Fulton Lady Rebels. I now have those photos edited and posted into a gallery for you to view or purchase prints for those awesome scrapbooks. I am still working on the photos from two more match-ups that evening and will have those posted ASAP. Please share or tag your family and friends so they can see your photos also...more to come soon!!!!
The Carson Barnes Circus
made a stop in Lewistown on Sunday for two performances and even though this
is not a major stop for them and there were not huge crowds on a Fathers Day
holiday, this is one really great traveling show. Everything about this
company is first class, the acts are great, and an extremely professional
entertainment option. Please visit their website at
www.carsonbarnescircus.com and of course visit their FaceBook Page at this

The Mid Illini Mayhem Softball Team
opened up a tournament held in Canton on Saturday morning by playing the
Canton team and winning in 5 innings by a score of 17-0. An interesting and
very nice moment took place directly after the game when
the two teams "Good Gamed" each other Mayhem Coach Mark Smith was
handed a medal...without hesitation he walked directly across the diamond to
the Canton team dugout and asked for number 24 who i believe was the Canton
catcher, and placed the medal around her neck, a gesture that was greatly
applauded by everyone there. It seems that each team picks a MVP from the
opposing team and this was the presentation of the medal....what a nice
gesture and honor.
The Junior Lady Ducks Softball Team hosted Altona on June 12 and I was able to be there to catch some of the action...The game photos are edited and in the gallery linked below...
Rob Deer Baseball was in town
this past weekend to provide one of their Professional Baseball Training
Camps. I was fortunate enough to be there shooting photographs for both
days, Friday and Saturday. Having the opportunity to watch and photograph up
close this well organized team work with many of our area young people was a
treat. When Major League Baseball players retire they often get themselves
involved in their hometown activities and especially our young folks. Of
course we are lucky to have our very own Mark Clark who is constantly
working with local and area kids on their sports interests and helps them
along the way by sharing his knowledge and experience.
Legendary MLB slugging star, Rob Deer was a welcomed guest in Havana for the last few days conducting his amazing Baseball Camp. Former Havana resident, Michael Keith and Rob were able to bring the Professional Major League Baseball experience and hands on training to town for regional players from entry levels up to the high school level. Rob was the Chicago Cubs Hitting Instructor last season, and is now back doing what he loves, working with kids and providing them with solid help, information, and encouragement not only for their sports interests but also applying this knowledge to life's challenges, something he does extremely well. It was a great two days shooting this very interesting Instructional Camp and I have the photos from Friday's session all edited and uploaded to the gallery where you can view the images or purchase them if you like for that great scrapbook...Saturday's session photos will be finished and posted just as soon as possible....
The Lady Ducks opened their Summer League play on Wednesday evening in their home gym by hosting the Farmington Lady Farmers and a Peoria All Star team...I took the long trek across the street to grab some photos, the gallery is linked below for you to view or better yet get those 2015 scrapbooks started....
Sure, I have thousands of sports photos, but oh, there is so much more. My files contain well in excess of 1 Million images. So let's get started on a great new current venture this season with the Indians.
